BREEDERS WITH POMSKY PUPPIES FOR SALE IN WEST VIRGINIA
BREEDERS IN NEIGHBORING STATES
‘Brick’House Couture Pomskies
- Dogs are my Life. They are sent by God to care for our fragile nature in the NOW. In middle school, my greatest achievement in life was to memorize all the dogs and classes listed in the Encyclopedia of Dogs. I was fascinated with the complexity and variation of dogs that exist and the purpose they provided to the families that loved them. I was destined to become a great "Breeder of Dog".
- Since middle school, I have always wanted to be a breeder. As I got older, I began to understand the magnitude and responsibility of breeding animals. I wanted to wait until I found the perfect breed that I wanted to see flourish in the world. Pomskies are that breed for me. In 2020, yes during the Pandemic, I bought my first Pomsky “Journie” she changed my life. Being a healthcare provider, things weren't going well for me, she helped me to see the positives in being alive and helped me to navigate a VERY difficult time in my life. I believe POMSKIES are "AMAZING" and I want to help put the best dogs in the best families.
- At Brickhouse Pomskies our greatest purpose is to produce healthy, beautiful, well-tempered Pomsky Puppies. Our mission is training Pups to become therapy/assistance dogs to help alleviate suffering in our communities. Located in Tidewater Virginia, our goal is to produce a superior line of Puppies (Dogs) that can work in neighborhoods to visit the elderly, be listeners in libraries, and offer encouragement with rehabilitation services to community members and families alike.
- We produce family pups raised in homes; NOT kennels. Pomskies are a social breed of dog and need the attention of the pack. We believe every dog deserves the love and attention of their own family therefore, we do not raise our dogs in kennels. We raise them with us or in a Guardian home, the home of their FURever family.
- We offer high quality Pups for sale for people looking to add a beautiful, fun loving, happy, and energetic member to their family.

Hemlock Pines Pomsky
Hi I am Amanda Smathers the breeder behind Hemlock Pines Pomsky located in western Pennsylvania. Growing up we raised AKC Shetland Sheepdogs. Now this former teacher and my retired Marine Corps husband have the pleasure of raising Embark genetically tested CKC and IPA registered pomskies. Hemlock Pines Pomsky is an approved International Pomsky Association Breeder and certified Pomsky Owners Association member. We are small and only have a few litters a year. Our pomskies are raised in our homes as part of the family. We use Puppy Culture Method and start potty training at 3 weeks old. Our F1 and F2 babies come pre-spoiled, socialized and are bred for conformation, temperament and health. Our puppies come with a contract, genetic guarantee, health certificate, and lifetime breeder support. We work hard to produce happy healthy puppies that will make a great addition to your family. They make the best companions.

I have always had dogs in my family and can’t imagine how empty my life would be without them. I decided several years ago I wanted a smaller dog but loved Siberian Huskies and I found my first Pomsky. That was 7 years ago and I have learned so much about this breed. I started training and showing these dogs for Obedience and 3 of them are titled in obedience, 2 with championships. Dakota is titled in AKC, UKC, CDSP and CWAGS, he is a show dog!
They are very intelligent, high energy dogs and so much fun to train as long as you enjoy a challenge! My pack has grown to 6 and I am now breeding them. I would like to see this breed recognized by AKC and it is part of my mission to see that happen.
I look for homes for my puppies where they will be loved as much or more than they are in my home!

Thanks for your interest in our dogs. Many people sell puppies and there are tons of really good breeders out there, so we know you have a lot to choose from, but we like to say that we don't sell puppies we sell a lifestyle centered around pups who are ready to be a part of your pack without all the hardships that come along with normal puppies. Our pups come ready for their new families because we have invested in their physical health, developmental health and their safety.
Our pups are raised in our home and every effort is made to ensure you receive a healthy and well-adjusted pup. Both parents are checked for over 250 different DNA diseases with results provided to you. Because we know what genes go into or dogs, we can offer you a 3-year genetic health guarantee. We go the extra mile by ensuring that our pups get their first two shots prior to going home. We want them to have the most protection possible against absolutely devastating diseases like Parvo. Our pups are regularly dewormed and have fecal examinations and vet checks prior to coming home with you.
Our pups start potty training as soon as they open their eyes. How do we accomplish this? We have a method that works very well, as strange as it may seem, we litter box train them. Yes, we know they are not cats, but just like cats, pups have a desire not to do their business where they sleep. To help us achieve this feat we create a litter box that has both potty pads and alf-alfa grass. This serves two purposes. It gets our pups used to doing their business on potty pads for those that will be home alone for hours without the ability to go outside, and the grass scent gets them used to the smell of grass and that that is also an acceptable place to do their business. This method continues until the pups go home.
At six weeks we start training the pups to go outside in the grass every two hours. Of course, the box is still there for them should they need to utilize it. Why do we take all this extra effort with our pups? Pomskies are notoriously difficult to potty train, so we believe that our participation in this endeavor from an early age sets them up for success in their new homes. While we can't guarantee that the pup will come to you fully potty trained with no accidents, I can guarantee that we have spent countless hours teaching the principals of acceptable potty behavior which will benefit you greatly as your new pup adjusts to their new home. We also offer plenty of advice and support to help you continue our method at home and ensure that your pup is successful in being house broken in record time.
Six weeks is also another important milestone for our pups. At this age, pups begin to learn to separate from their litter mates for the first time. We start crate training first with a buddy and work our way up to being in their own separate crate. One of the hardest things for new owners to deal with is the heartbreaking cries of pups who have no experience being away from mama or litter mates. We take that burden on ourselves to help ensure their first experiences in your home are positive ones that build their trust and faith in you as their pack leader. During the last couple weeks with us, pups will spend nap time and evening times in their crates. We will also set you up for success by sending you home with a special blanket with mom and litter mates’ scent on it to help give your pup comfort while they adjust to their new home.
When you get your new puppy packet you will find a check list that shows all the various experiences, we have taken the time to expose your pup to. We spend time exposing them to various different environments, car rides, people of different sizes, shapes, sexes and characteristics, various sounds and loud noises, cats, other dogs and many different scenarios that your pups will find themselves in such as nail clippings, brushings, baths, vet check ups in which their ears will be checked, temperature, mouths etc. Pups learn best from six to sixteen weeks so we endeavor to be as transparent as possible in your puppy’s education so that you can pick up where we left off and ensure you have a pup who can handle themselves in any situation.
Our pups come to you microchipped for their safety so that they can always find their way home to you. We also only ship your pup via a plane ride inside the cabin or in your vehicle with you. Extensive travel times and trips in cargo can cause a great deal of stress which can jeopardize your pup’s health. Stress has been shown to reduce puppy immune response causing previously well fought off environmental bacteria and viruses to overwhelm the immune system. Regardless of how your pup comes to you we send them with other supplies for their safety such as a harness, a leash, a car seat and a water bottle. We want to ensure that your pup remains safe while traveling to their new homes and we encourage owners to always place their pup in a car seat in the back of their vehicle strapped into a harness and not a collar. Another way we ensure the safety of your pup is that we provide an extensive guide to empower you with all the information you need to know to keep your new family member safe. Our guide includes a list of various outdoor and indoor hazards for your pup, detailed information on various environmental hazards such as bacteria, viruses, hyperglycemia, extreme weather, and practices that will help your pup live their best life. We also offer lifelong support for our dogs and are here to answer all your questions. In the event that you fall on hard times or are unable to care for your dog we will help you rehome them or if a suitable home cannot be found we will take them back to ensure that none of our dogs ever need to be surrendered to a shelter.
In addition to all the benefits and services we provide as an amateur photographer each new owner will receive a USB stick loaded with all the photos of their pup from birth to the day they leave our home. We want the new owners to see every step of their journey and feel fully apart of their pup’s life.

We are a family owned business located in Northern Virginia. We started following Pomskies about four years ago. After seeing a lot of beautiful puppies we finally decided to purchase one in October of 2014. We had followed one of the pioneers of the breed (Apex Pomskies) and were fortunate to purchase one of their beautiful 25/75 puppies. From the moment we met Nola Belle, we knew we wanted to make other people happy by providing these beautiful babies. We purchased our female Husky for breeding just four months later and our journey began.
The dogs we use for breeding are also our pets. They do not live in cages; they live in our home and even sleep in our room. The fact that they sleep with us will most likely change as we add more puppies to our breeding pool (our bed is only so big).
We do not sell to the highest bidder. We require applications on all purchases and take great care when selecting potential owners.
Our puppies receive exceptional care while they are with us. They have 3 visits to the vet, get their first vaccinations, first and second worming, and come with a record of vaccinations from the vet. We do DNA testing on each litter and the results are provided upon request. We also provide Pomsky Club of America registration papers on all of our puppies.
Our goal is to place the right puppy with the right owner.
