Best Dog Chew Treats For The Pomsky Breed
We are often asked, what are the best chew treats for the Pomsky?
That's a great question, because Pomskies love to chew!
In this blog we are giving you a couple options, recommended by our member breeders. The below chew treats are what the Pomsky breeders use for their Pomskies, so you know it is Pomsky tested and Pomsky approved.
Featured Pomsky: The Pomsky pictured in this blog is Mochi of Hollywood Pomskies. Libby of Hollywood Pomskies says: Mochi, lives with two cats, loves kids and everyone she meets, and is as happy to nap or entertain herself with toys while I work as she is to go hiking up the nearby mountain tops.

Native Pet - Yak Cheese Chews
Vanessa of Archangel Pomsky recommends yak cheese for Pomsky treats, they even have Yak cheese chews!
Here is what Vanessa said about the Pomsky treats: For general chews we use yak cheese, meaty bones, and bully sticks. They last the longest and are great for the dogs and puppies alike.
Here is Native Pet's description: Native Pet believes healthy living starts with simple nutrition. This means using only organic, human-grade ingredients, and never compromising with artificial ingredients, fillers, or preservatives. Native Pet yak chews are sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas and processed in FDA approved facilities. The best yak chews require high quality ingredients, precise manufacturing and drying methods, and specific storage temperatures. Native Pet has taken great strides to excel in each of these areas, and we hope you see the difference. To ensure quality and consistency, we've developed a two-step quality control process. The first step takes place with our supply partners where we've instituted standard procedures in quality control and manufacturing protocol. The second step occurs at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri where final inspection and packaging is done.

Pedigree - Dentastix Dental Treats
Dentastix are a staple in my household, I've used these as treats forever. Every dog I've ever had loves the Pedigree Dentastix.
These will keep your dog busy for a couple minutes while they chew through the big treat, plus it cleans their teeth clean! I also use these for training, you can break the sticks into small bit size pieces. Perfect for keeping my pups engaged while we are out on a walk.

These DENTASTIX Treats are clinically proven to reduce tartar buildup. Plus, our patented, X-shaped dental chews freshen breath while treating your dog to better oral health. PEDIGREE Oral Care Treats are dog snacks you can trust, and your dog will love.
Better Than Ears - Pig Ear Alternative
This is one of my personal recommendations. My dogs love the "Better Than" brand pig ear alternative.
Here is one of their reviews that sums up the product perfectly: These must taste good because my dog really likes them. She will nibble on regular ears but isn't overly thrilled with them. These Better Than brand Bacon Mini Ears are perfect for my Yorkie. They're large enough to keep her busy and for her to get her chew on without being annoying tough to get through. The size is right too for a little dog. Molly is 8 pounds but has a good set of chompers on her and she likes to gnaw. These Better Than Ears give her what she wants and taste great. Plus they are lower in calories than real ears. I was a little hesitant to try them but I am glad I did. This brand seems to make tasty, quality pet treats and I will buy these and other items from them again.
Here is the product description: Lip smacking smoky bacon flavored premium healthy dog treats. An alternative that's better than real pig ears.
- Great smoky bacon flavor dogs love
- Highly digestible
- No mess
- Low fat, 50% less than real pig ears
